Kristy Morrison founded Capital Home Staging & Design because of her passion for real estate and the decorating / staging industry. Kristy loves real estate so much that she purchased her 3rd house at the age of 26. She has a passion for sprucing up a house and staging it to sell. She wants to share her skills with the public.
Kristy loves to continually learn about changing aspects in the staging industry. Originally graduating from Quality Course Design School with 4 different diplomas has allowed her to focus on where she wanted to be in business. This year Kristy found APSD and attended one of their conferences in Denver, Colorado and was blown away. APSD is in the process of expanding into Canada and approached Kristy to be a part of their team. Kristy accepted the position of Canada's first APSD Master Trainer as she strongly believes that the NEW ways of staging is appropriate for our market.
Because of the passion Kristy has for this industry, she has been the only home stager in Ottawa to have been nominated for and won awards. In 2009 Kristy won the Better Business Bureau's Torch Award for Market Place Ethics in the small business category. Also for two years in a row (2009 & 2010) Kristy has been one of the top five rookie stagers in all of North America!
Kristy has built a team of staging professionals that she has personally invested lots of time and energy into ensuring that each one of them are providing Capital Home Staging & Designs level of professional service.
Because Kristy is training APSD Stagers as well as focusing on business growth and development of Capital Home Staging & Design, she is no longer taking general appointments (as of August 2011) as she knows she has hand selected a team that is completely capable of delivering results. Our CHSD staff are determined to get the job done in a timely and professional manner. Their passion will no doubt help with the sale of any home they are working with.
In March 2011, Kristy started the Real Estate Staging Ottawa Chapter and is the chapter president.
